Confederate General A. P. Hill and his III Corps of the Army of Northern Virginia played a key role in the Battle of Gettysburg from start to finish. They were the first ones to make contact with the Union Army of the Potomac on July 1st and played a key role in Pickett’s Charge on July 3rd. Some say his performance during the battle was mediocre at best. We are giving General Hill an opportunity to present his side of the story – through the eyes of A. P. Hill re-enactor Pat Falci.
Pat Falci is a well-regarded expert on A. P. Hill. In fact, he played him in the movie Gettysburg. He also acted as an historical advisor for that film and for Gods and Generals. He also served as Jeff Shaara’s historical advisor for several of his Civil War books. He is a frequent speaker at Civil War Round Tables around the country. He has received numerous awards for his work and is a three-time Past President of the New York Civil War Round Table.
This is the 3rd time we have had Pat Falci present to our group. The first two were very well received. Please make every effort to attend this program. You will not be disappointed.
