For his latest book on the Civil War era—this one males a dozen—John C. Waugh brings back forty friends, men and women whom he has met in that century, to introduce to you. Some, are famous, household names both then and now. Others celebrated or reviled then, are virtually unremembered now. In one way or another, for one reason or another, good or not so good, they have all moved Jack in some way in his endless visits to that century in the research and writing of his books. He is happy to be able to introduce them to you in this presentation.
John C. “Jack” Waugh is well known to our group and to the entire “Civil War” community. He is the author of 12 books about the War including “The Class of 1846” – generally considered one of the best CW books of all time. He is a former correspondent for the Christian Science Monitor. His perceptive “reporter’s eye” add an extra element to his work. This should be a great program as he discusses some of the “interesting characters” he has found during his research. Don’t miss it. See you on the 12th!
